Prime Health was created to focus on the health and wellness of the community. Health promotion and health prevention means having control over one’s health and in turn, improving it and preventing diseases. Our goal is being well or becoming well. We promise to help our clients on their journey to prime health.
Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are Registered Nurses with advanced education and knowledge. They integrate clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine in order to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic illnesses. NP’s are able to prescribe medications, order diagnostic imaging, and order/interpret laboratory testing.
Kayla King is a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (PHC-NP) with a Masters in Nursing from the University of Toronto. She is trained to provide health care over the whole lifespan from pregnancy, infancy, and to older age.
Our Services
All services offered are fee-for-service as Nurse Practitioners cannot bill OHIP, as per the Canada Health Act.
We are an alternative option to OHIP insured services.

We provide episodic treatment for common “one time” health issues. During our wellness visits we emphasize well-being, illness prevention, and health promotion. The NP can diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries, as well as order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests such as X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, MRIs, and bloodwork; assist clients in managing chronic health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or breathing issues; prescribe medications; provide health education and counseling; refer clients to specialists; and assist clients in navigating our complex healthcare system through multidisciplinary referrals.

Wellness Visits
A wellness visit concentrates on preventative medicine and focused exams guided by your medical history. Our goal is to maintain health and prevent health problems before they happen. Don’t worry if you have a health issue already! We will focus on maintaining or improving your current health! Wellness visits, also known as periodic health assessments, can be conducted at an interval decided collaboratively between yourself and the NP, depending on your health risks.
Chronic Health Issues
Prime Health manages chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, mental health, weight issues, women's health issues, and more by ensuring continuity of treatment, ongoing monitoring, and coordination of care.
Episodic Appointment
Episodic Care visits provide patients with both semi-urgent and scheduled appointments for primary care medical services.
Episodic appointments can include the following one time health issues: eye, ear, sinus, throat, urinary, and skin infections; minor wounds; prescription refills, sick notes; drivers medical forms; medication injections; specialist referrals.
Immunizations
Immunizations are available at Prime Health for children, adolescents, and adults. They are usually administered as a part of the wellness visit or for travel health.
Medical Procedures
Medical procedures can be conducted during or after the initial visit. They can include cyrotherapy, IUC, subdermal implant, ear flushing, IV nutrition therapy, or medical abortion.
Dermatology
Comprehensive Skin Care • Diagnosis • Treatment
Your skin is your body’s largest organ — and changes in your skin deserve proper medical attention. Our dermatology services focus on the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of skin concerns in a clinical and professional setting.
Skin Assessments
We provide thorough skin evaluations to assess moles, rashes, pigmentation changes, and other skin concerns. Early assessment supports timely diagnosis and appropriate management.
Skin Biopsies
When necessary, minor in-clinic skin biopsies are performed to investigate abnormal or changing lesions. Samples are sent for pathology review to guide further treatment decisions.
Lesion Removal
We offer removal of certain benign skin lesions for medical reasons following clinical assessment. Each procedure is performed using sterile technique with patient safety as the priority.
Lump & Bump Assessment
New or changing lumps under the skin can cause concern. We assess cysts, lipomas, and other soft tissue masses to determine appropriate next steps, which may include monitoring or removal.

Musculoskeletal concerns can significantly impact daily function and quality of life. We assess and manage a variety of joint and soft tissue conditions affecting mobility and comfort.
Shoulder Conditions
Evaluation and management of common shoulder concerns including pain, limited range of motion, tendon-related issues, and inflammation.
Knee Conditions
Assessment of knee pain, swelling, mechanical symptoms, and injury-related concerns with treatment plans tailored to your needs.
Joint & Soft Tissue Care
We support patients experiencing strains, sprains, overuse injuries, and degenerative joint concerns. Management may include conservative treatment, rehabilitation guidance, and referrals when appropriate.
Our goal is to restore movement, reduce discomfort, and support long-term joint health through individualized care plans.
Hormone Therapy - Men & Women
Personalized Hormonal Support for Men & Women
Hormonal balance plays a significant role in energy levels, mood, metabolism, sleep, and overall well-being. For some individuals, hormone levels may shift due to age, life stage, or underlying medical conditions.
We offer medically supervised hormone assessments and individualized treatment plans for men and women when clinically appropriate.
For Women
Support during perimenopause and menopause, addressing symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood changes, and hormonal fluctuations.
For Men
Assessment and management of symptoms associated with testosterone deficiency, including low energy, reduced libido, and changes in body composition.
